• The only thing more sustainable than Outreach's brand of empowerment is solar power (we're working hard to reach the #1 spot, though). Combine the best of both worlds with a solar panel for community water tanks! A storage tank equipped with a solar-powered pump and a battery to store extra juice for rainy days means that instead of a centralized well serving lots of people, water can be distributed throughout a community, and partners can enjoy their own hyper-local access points, rain or shine.
  • Motivate the motivators. Not that teachers are in it for the money, but with so many empowering to-dos on everyone's lists, it's important that all time is time well spent. Teachers provide a comforting, trusting atmosphere for students-of-a-certain-age to build confidence and skills as they students their curiosity, and work toward a future where they can put their knowledge to use and teach the next generation.
  • As the superhighway between your head and your heart, your neck occupies an important spot on your body. It's the reason you're able to consider Outreach's mission, then finding yourself so inspired by our data-driven developmental supremacy that you decide to become a supporter! Just as untold waves slowly transformed angles into curves, Outreach's work with our community partners steadily contours lives to reshape hopes into plans, plans into goals, and goals into triumphs. Honor your own role in transforming communities around the world while also adding a burst of color to all your local outfits!
  • Let's Plants. Gardening might seem like a solitary affair, but it's really a partnership between a person and a plant. Some vegetables and herbs need a little extra attention when it comes to maintaining their climate. A greenhouse helps coax them from seed to bloom to a healthy new component of every meal.
  • Keep animals cozy, dry, and safe, so their owners can keep them happy, healthy, and profitable. It's not just an animal house, it's an animal home.
  • Rainmakers. Treadle pumps are a perfect solution for farmers who lack access to mechanical means of watering their thirsty crops. As a bonus, with their hands free, those operating the pump can share a morale-boosting 'thumbs-up' with a partner whenever the need arises.
  • Waste no more. A dignified, private place to use the restroom offers more than mere relief; it's also a hygienic refuge from catching or spreading serious diseases. Take a seat, make a splash, and feel the flush!
  • Cow

Have a Cow, Man.'Everyone knows what cows do: Milk? Check. Beef? You bet. Fertilizer' You're already standing in it. Even without the mark of a hot iron, cows have truly excellent branding.
  • Reading, Writing, Regular Meals. Passing notes, watching the clock, doodling in margins' school has enough distractions. Hunger shouldn't be another one. Provide students with three nutritious meals daily, and give them the energy they need to succeed in their studies and get the most out of every recess.
  • Hallowed Hauls. Behind the yoke, the power is intoxicating: Water buffalo are strong, reliable, resilient, and their emissions are clean-burning, which is a non-gross way of saying their dung can be dried and used as fuel. Want it moved, plowed, or fertilized' Boy, oh boy, do we have just the thing for you! (Get some gloves.)
  • Create the Ripple Effect. The Outreach Process is our proven, effective approach to resolving poverty through community involvement, individual empowerment, and sustainable methods for continued success. Our field staff works closely to develop communities and build partnerships between neighbors, ensuring your gifts are more than just another handout.
  • How are local leaders maintaining and sustaining community momentum in a COVID-complicated world? While some of their work continues unchanged, much of it has moved online. Provide a community with a smartphone, laptop, and printer, and help them stay connected with the electronic essentials to keep the good going, no matter the distance.
  • A hammermill offers an ever-present, local means of pulverizing raw materials like maize and cassava beans into ready-to-use ingredients for every meal. Since many children spend their days helping their families by lugging heavy bags to larger mills located in far-off locales instead of attending school regularly, a neighborhood hammermill serves up yummier, more nutritious meals, as well as more time for everyone to tackle all the other things on their plates.
  • Determination can go pretty far, but it goes farther when it’s on a motorbike. Help Outreach facilitators bring empowerment to communities’ doorsteps while respecting the safety regulations of their local governments and protecting the health of our partners. Everyone on your Zoom call agrees: You can cover a lot more ground in person, and people can cover a lot more ground on a motorbike.
  • Make Classy Kids Classier. You want enduring solutions to global poverty? Start early. Fund a classroom and give kids the best shot at a better tomorrow by making the pursuit of knowledge a lifelong habit.
  • A SPROUT community is a truly special place. It’s where local leaders from an established Outreach-affiliated community share their expertise with neighboring communities, facilitating the same community-led development they’ve learned and earned with a whole new audience. Funding a SPROUT community for a year is an efficient, low-cost, organic way to spread Outreach’s work, and an incredible way for those who have benefitted from facilitation to maximize its impact.
  • Do Good. Do Well. Life without clean water is shorter and more stressful. The addition of a water well in a community is as life-changing as it is lifesaving. It returns trust to simple acts such as drinking, cooking, and bathing, eliminating the specter of waterborne disease lurking in every drop. Without a well nearby, community members spend hours each day walking long distances, waiting in long lines, carrying heavy containers, and boiling every drop, instead of working to earn a living or focusing on addressing other needs present in their lives. Add a well, and watch the rising tide lift all boats' more time every day to earn income, do household chores, raise families, and relax at the end of it all with a well-earned glass of refreshment.
